One hell of a thread revival lol, basically it was just the condensation build up in the exhaust and I had a small oil leak from the rocker cover gasket. If yours is doing it even when fully warm it could be a different problem though

Yeah just a bit!! At the moment in the rain I arrive at the lights looking like the bikes on fire - steam/white smoke out the exhaust and steam out the radiator!

Yea if its been a very wet ride then it can look like that, however it sounds as if yours is a bit more serious, possibly a small hole in the radiator or leaky pipe, how hot is the bike getting? If its getting so hot the coolant in the expansion tank is boiling it will come out of the overflow and could land on the exhaust pipes producing all the smoke.

The temp guage gets to half way in traffic - no change there - as soon as there's space to run the guage comes down again to 90 odd or below.
