My rev counters stopped working.
Ive had a big electrical fry up recently which killed the ICU, fuel pump relay and a fuse.
I've fixed the fry up (replaced reg rec, ICU & relays) but my rev counter doesnt go??
I replaced the whole instrument cluster and still no joy????!!

Re: NC23 rev counter not going!!
In case anyone was curious I solved this issue. It was the pulse generator coil (otherwise known as pickup coil) which is located inside the LHS engine cover.

Looked fine to the naked eye but was kaput. Bike was running ok until warmed up and then once it got warmed up it would start losing cylinders until it died. Once dead...it wouldn't start again until cooled down and the cycle would continue.dunkenb wrote:What was wrong withe coil ? Was it melted ?
