Post by ASK1 » Sun Aug 10, 2014 7:42 pm

Any ideas and If someone knows how to check pulse generator and coils the resistance that they need to be in spec? Also any information on how to bypass the kick stand kill switch is it a closed or open circuit. and any wiring diagrams. My Rvf swings gets fuel but no spark.

If the bike cranks, I'd be looking at the kill switch circuit if you haven't already done so.

According to the service manual for the NC30 (I have no reason to think the 35 would be different, but I stand to be corrected:

Ignition coil primary resistance 2.5 to 3.5 Ohms (measure between the two small connectors on the bottom of the coil)
Secondary resistance with plug cap 14-25k Ohms (measure between the two spark plug caps)
Pulse generator resistance 450-500 Ohms

There are plenty of wiring diagrams for the NC35 posted on the web, including on this forum. Just stick NC35 wiring diagram into a search engine and you'll get loads of links.

worht checking regulator and generator then check battery volage striaght away if you get it running.

it could have overvolted and burned out the ignitino box.
