air filter

has anyone here changed there air filter to a k and n type?

does it make a difference? do i need to change carb settings.

it has an race pipe.

Yes I have on my nc30 track bike. Carried out the DIY conversion on an old knackered filter, using a Chevy K&N purchased on ebay. I can't vouch for any before and after results, because I never ran it on stock paper filter. I'm running 118/120 jet combination. Fueling seems pretty much bang on and plugs are a nice light brown colour

I'm guessing the CBR filter will be a standard 'drop in' type. They aren't available off the shelf for the NC30 - hence the DIY solution. But the K&N filters usually perform pretty well if jetted to suit. I hope to get mine dyno tested later this year

I have a k&n fitted, with a half stainless system and beowulf end can, jets are just up one size, not noticed any difference when I added the k&n but at least you can clean it with one of the k&n kits.

The only benefit with a k&n is the ability to clean and re-use
