vfr 400 nc30 1989 jets ???

Post by beastybikes » Fri May 02, 2014 7:49 am

hi i have recently got mylself a honda vfr 400 nc30 1989 in castrol honda colours as a project needing a good bit of tlc. Ive not had a bike for about 10 years now but have been itching for one for the last couple of years but enjoyed my last vfr.so this bike popped up for sale locally and had to have it. Mind you leaving me broke every pay day getting bits.forgot its not the cheapest hobby.anyways im in process of giving bike a full service and have carbs stripped out to clean but being a 1989 model has 110f 110r jets in them.after doing some research some people say 115f 118r ?? Some say 118f 120r ?? I have standard exhaust at the minute so would leaving 110s in be best or change them if so any advice to which size would be a great help.thanks

110s wil be fine but even with stock system 115/118 runs quite well.

115/118 will run well with stock and aftermarket systems no worries.

Castrol colours? Honda never made a castrol scheme so its either been repainted or has chinese fairings on it.
