I'm currently running standard sys that has been cut and Art can fitted, I was looking over sys at the wkend and noticed the collars have rotted away along with 1 on of the clamps and its got a small split in the rear collector pipebut theres no noticable blowing sound yet. Just so your in the picture carbs have been balanced and slightly modded (122/120, 1mm shim and slides drilled), my question is should i try and source a weldr to do the repairs to the standard pipe work or replace it with better kit ????
ps Anybody used a stubby can by sp engineering yet ? or recommend a good can if i change ?
Cheers in advance

Re: What to do?
Depends on your budget really. rcv4, a member on here based in Hull, is the metalwork wizard and will get your existing system looking like new. I am also quite a fan of a nice ART can as I think they fit the bike well and also have just a little more throaty tone than standard without being abnoxious.....but I may be biased

As for other alternatives Tyga do several of the shelf options, as do HIperform, other than that you will be keeping your eye on Ebay or the sales wants section for more period Ethos, JHA, Yamamot etc 1/2, 3/4 or full systems.
Have a look at the exhaust thread here (viewtopic.php?f=23&t=6071)

Re: What to do?
Another fan of ART cans, they have a nice tone and good fit to the bike from my point of view.. I think stubbys like tacky.
if you dont have anyone local that can do a good job rcv4 as already mentioned can replace the collars with nice ones that will last and cause you no issue! :)

Re: What to do?
I've got a piece of pipe from RCV4 before and I've taken it to a local welder to repair my systems, he's a top bloke and it made the welders job easier, I'd use him again for pipe and pipe work.
It's not having what you want but wanting what you've got....Loud ,Proud and Modified ....
