nc 30 rear shock

Post by megawatt » Fri Mar 28, 2014 4:26 pm

Just bought my nc30 and while on trailer coming home , the low mileage hagon shock dumped it,s oil on the trailer. Too long since New, so no warranty, but it,s done very few miles. Do I pay 100 quid for a service with a warranty or buy a 10,000 mile showa ?

I'd go with servicing the hagon and getting a warranty. The showa will be 20 years old regardless of miles and probably need a service too. Although i have an unserviced original shock in mine, it works but its not great.

Thr shock megawat is on about is mine.it came from a 9366 mile bike straight from japan!its certainly not shagged.but i wouldnt rule out a service for sure.been kept indoor since coming of the bike and i have bolted it on bike and works perfectly.considering its nearly half the price i would think its a no brainer really!"

On reading what megawat said.i would go with the hagon to be fair.he didnt say it was a low miles shock to me.only that it was out of warrenty.i also have a later type shock as well.but that DOES need a service!

We did discuss it Rich. Personally, I would prefer to never do business with Hagon again. This is the second shock of theirs that has dropped it,s guts on me. But I have to think resale and a newly serviced shock with a warranty will help sell the bike. If they can,t turn it around in two weeks I may buy your shock. Pricewise, the service is about 113 including postage .

I apoligise al. dont remembe you saying it was low miles.but in any case.if this is the second hagon shock to spill its seals i dont blame you not wanting never to do buisness with them again.but its your choice chap.if it sells.it sells.if not its a decent spare to have.reason im selling.is to put funds towards carbon hugger!cheers.
