Sourcing brake discs for Spec 1 VTEC 1999 NC39

Post by ybanrab » Fri Nov 01, 2013 4:38 pm

Hi All, I have an NC39 (SFx - 1999) which has warped both discs :(

I'm sure the discs must be in common with a number of other hondas of similar vintage, but I'm having a hard time working out what the other models might be.

Does anyone else have one or know how to work out what I should be searching for?

Thanks

Barny

Seem to be the same part number as a NC31 and CB600 Hornet. I would recommend getting pads from them as well whilst your at it as you don't want worn pads on new rotors.

Email the seller in the link and see if they can do you a deal. Last time I ordered they sent me a discount voucher which I may use soon as my fronts are starting to get near wear limit. They have organic and sintered pads available as well. If the rears that I got off them are anything to go by then you will stop time with new front rotors and the sintered pads.

Don't forget to get brake cleaner or degreaser for when you get them to clean the film off the new rotors or disaster may strike.

Gidanski, thanks so much for that!

I can't use that seller (I'm in the uk) but the product pages you linked to give all the dimensions, which gives me all I need to track down a set of discs closer to home.

Thanks again

Barny
