A lot of the answers to the above would depend on WHY you are replacing the clutch... ;-)

Is it slipping, is it damaged, is there lots of bit of clutch plate in the oil....?

The clutch nut needs a castellated socket. You can buy a Honda one of you can find one (it also does either the engine or swingarm as well, can't remember which), or look up TurboSuzukis on eBay who makes CNC equivalents.

Some people would reuse the gasket if it appears intact. Personally, I'd not be that tight and buy a new one.

The clutch nut is a stake nut, so you are supposed to use a new one, again some people may choose not to.

Replacing plates would depend on their condition, as would the springs.

You don't say what flavour of V4 you are doing this for. Note that the number and thickness of the plates varies, certainly between the NC30 and 35 (although apparently some *COMPLETE* NC clutches will fit in other models - emphasis on complete, swapping individual bits may cause issues)

Oil needs dropping to do it unless you lay the engine/bike on it's side, so you might as well change it while you are doing the job unless it's very recently been done.

EBC make friction plates if you don't want to pay your local Honda stealer, and Honda still make the steel plates if you need those.

I'd inspect the cable before laying into the clutch! I don't know what the measurement of a new cable is, but if you've adjusted both ends with no luck, then I'd think about getting a replacement and trying that. Even if it's not that, a spare is always handy as you rarely seem to get any warning when they break! As you say adjusters I assume you've had a go at the one at the engine end of the cable as well as the lever end?

Yeah both ends are wound right out. I might try one. They aren't all that dear.
