Hi all,

I've been quiet for a while, been working on the ol' RVF to get her back to roadworthy after sitting for an extended period of time. One of the guys at work has approached me to have a look at his '88 VT250Z (Jap import) to find an oil leak from the gearbox, I checked it out and it looks like the gearbox output or something behind it is the culprit.

Before I pulled the seal I wanted to make sure that I could get parts to replace it, however after searching for about 2 hours I couldn't come up with a service manual or parts fiche for the model. Does anyone have any references for this model? As far as I can tell, the bike was only sold in Japan, however there might be a few floating around in the UK as well.

If theres nothing, does anyone know a way to replace a seal without using an OEM seal? I was about ready to rip it and fill the gap with silicone, but figured I'd wait out and see if I could find an answer.
