Just a thread revival here

I noticed today that some of the LED's on my angel eyes have stopped working.

I have no exact idea why, but I do have a very good charging system now I've sorted it and the battery charges while the bike idles at 14.8V.

Could this cause the LED's to go? I always have them on when riding and have had them fitted for about 5 months I think?

Would there be any way to add like a resistor or some electronic thing to keep the LED's from going?

Small leds sat next to a headlight bulb prob aern't gonna last long because of the heat from the bulb. I would of thought they'd have the right resistors on the leds to take 14.8v, only thing you could do its put a 12v voltage regulator in series with the leds, but you need to know how much current there pulling so you can select the right one.
The ballast in your link is for the proper ccfl lamps in bmw lamps i think (wat it looks like anyhow) and wont work with leds.
Cheers
Ian

I think you're right about the heat from the bulb :(

Saying that there's not much I can do to solve the problem really.

Right I think I've found something.

There's an eBay seller selling kits to go in R1's and the like. I contacted them and they said they had kits with 95mm rings and that because they were CCFL or something that they'd work perfectly fine being inside the headlight with a hot bulb.

Only thing is I don't have the time to take my headlight apart and measure to see if it'd take the extra 5mm diameter.

So does anyone have a set of headlights they could measure for me? Pretty pleaseeeee
