Forgive me if this has been addressed before.
When i start my NC29 when after its been sitting for a night, it cranks and runs only if i hold the throttle open at about 2k rpm. Otherwise it cuts out/stalls almost immediately. After riding and letting the engine warm up it idles around 1.5-1.7k rpm.
Any thoughts on what the problem could be?
Also, i had a mech run a compression test of the bike and found 2 cylinders were leaking some. Could this be a cause? Also i'm hearing a ticking sound coming from the engine. I'll try record it and post it up.
NC29 Doesn't idle on cold start.

Re: NC29 Doesn't idle on cold start.
try using the choke...
i always start my bike full or half choke & leave it on choke for up to a minuet or two (while i put my gear on) sit on bike, switch headlights on, push choke in/off THEN ride off...

Re: NC29 Doesn't idle on cold start.
It's normal man, mine always when cold needs choke to just warm up for a minute if i let go off the throttle when it's cold it will rev by itself but under 1.5k and eventually shut off but with the choke for a minute it will idle ok with no issues, after all anything with a carb has this issue.kurisuaki wrote:Forgive me if this has been addressed before.
