NC30 Hollow and solid handlebars?

Post by tigerclaw » Sat Jun 01, 2013 7:33 pm

While my bikes handlebars look exactly the same it appears that the left on is solid (has been filled with something) and the right bar is hollow.... is this normal? (I doubt it)..... do you think my bike has been built for left hand turns? ....

Actually,

1) Is it an issue / should I replace them?
2) How should they be?

Thanks

the stock ones one mine were solid ish, looked like pipe with a bit of solid bar welded in on both sides, prob to dampen vibrations or something, i swaped them with tube cos they were bent (i never used the solid ones so didnt know what they felt like), but it seemed ok to me, it now has solid ally ones off a sv650, any they feel ok aswell, tho i not riden it far.
Cheers
Ian

Stock ones are heavy steel jobbies.

Rick O does lovely alloy bars

racers get hold of hollow bars..

Doesn't really matter, but my OCD would have to use the same bars..
