Useless info but thought I'd share

Post by vic-vtrvfr » Sat Apr 06, 2013 5:17 pm

This will only apply to a handful of people but thought I'd share anyway.

I bought a castelated socket off eBay for swingarm removal. Worked ok.
When researching my clutch problems, I read that the same socket does the clutch nut - happy days!
So today I drained the oil, too casing off, removed circlip then realised that the 4 up stands on my socket weren't deep enough to do the job. Not good!

So moral of this tale is don't assume the non-Honda eBay socket will do both nuts - it doesn't! Lol

The proper Honda socket is dual sided too, one side is big, one side is small.. I have one in my toolbox.. also its black, mabye suitable for impact driver.
