I even tried it withouth the spacer on and the sprocket carrier up against the bearing and it was still slightly out. Could it be the sprocket or does this bolt pattern only fit these bikes?davethetrucker wrote:A daft question maybe but is the bearing spacer that sits behind the sprocket carrier present or a different sized one

Re: rear sprocket and chain guide?
the chain guide and front sprocket line up perfectly but the rear spocket and front sprocket are out of line buy the same distance as the sprocket and guide at the rear. If that makes sense.speedy231278 wrote:But in order to line up on both sides are per your pic, it would need to be twice as wide! Daft question, but does the rear sprocket line up properly with the front? It's not a case of having been shimmed over a bit to clear a wider rear wheel is it?

Re: rear sprocket and chain guide?
As a guide from limited measurements I can make without dis-assembly of my bike, undercut on the inside face of 525 rear sprocket is approximately 1.5 mm, would expect slightly less for a 520 sprocket. Distance between back face of rear sprocket mounting bolt and face of chain tension adjuster ring is approximately 3 mm. My 525 chain runs centred on chain guide/buffer.
Looking at your pictures there appears to be too big a gap between the chain tension adjuster ring and the sprocket face.
