Sidestand spacers

Post by bikemonkey » Sat Dec 22, 2012 11:09 pm

Just fitted my Ethos half system and as predicted the sidestand is hitting it.

I know people have used spacers to stop it happening so what sizes did you use/where did you get them from?

From memory I think I just used washers behind the 2 side stand bolts.

I've got various stainless and alu spacers in the workshop from about 4mm thick upwards. Let me know what size you want :peace:
Conventional wisdom says to know your limits. To know your limits you need to find them first. Finding your limits generally involves getting in over your head and hoping you live long enough to benefit from the experience. That's the fun part.

i just used a couple of spare ones from a rearset kit, about 10mm i think. Still didnt stop it touching so i glued a bit of hard rubber in the bit where the stand rotates to stop it returning all the way.

I'll have a closer look when I get home tonight.

I have my old sidestand rubber I can use as a stop.

Think I'll still be sending you a pm Steve, cheers for the offer
