NC30 Brake Reservoir Screw

Post by TommyTheGun » Wed Nov 07, 2012 1:31 pm

Hi all,

I bought a 1990 nc3 recently in ok condition for the age. I wanted to change the brake fluid for the front brakes but one of the screws on the fluid reservoir refused to budge and I ended up ruining the head. i am planning to drill it out but cant seem to find any replacement screws apart from some that come with a new caps on ebay. Does anyone know anwhere online where i could get one?

Thanks
T

M4 x 8mm or M5 x 8mm countersunk machine screw. Memory is leaning towards M5 but I can't remember for certain.

My bad, it's the Yam & Kawa reservoirs that have the short set screw

NC35 has a short one, as the cap has a clip that screws to the side. I remember having 'fun' with the MC on my TZR. both screw seized solid, and it was out with an old screwdriver-cum-chisel!
