Nc30 rear wheel help!
Hi guys,
I'm struggling for definitive info on what will fit on the rear of my 30.
I know that standard width is 150, but doesnt that equate to 150mm which is 6"?
Although pretty much every post I've read is saying that 5.5" is the max you can go to!!!
Slightly confused :s
I'm currently looking at an 02-09 vfr800 rear wheel (5 spoke) will this fit as the owner doesnt know how to measure it properly!
When I have sourced the correct wheel, will I need a jack up kit? I've currently got a hagon monoshock on.
Thanks for your continued help (and patience haha!)
Greg

Nc30 rear wheel help!
You will need to get a hub machined to fit the new wheel. STD rim is 4.5".

Re: Nc30 rear wheel help!
The 5.5" you refer too is the width of the wheel not the tyre.
Dont know about that wheel but its the VFR750 (early type) wheel that people use, you will also need a kit to fit it available from rick oliver.
Yes your need to compensate for difference in ride height, you can use a RVF400 suspension linkage to do the job. See my for sale list theres one for sale there.
Oh i also have a 17" wheel with supercorsa tyre for sale too

Re: Nc30 rear wheel help!
What will fit, without any money or modification is
1: VFR400 NC30 wheel - 4.5 x 18
2: RVF400 NC35 wheel - 4.5 x17
You can fit, with mods
Bros 400 wheel (NC31) a 4.5 x 17
VFR750 - RC36 on a 5 or 5.5 inch rim - need a new hub for this.
easiest way..buy the RVF wheel from Munky..

I was gunna keep the front for my 29 but if you wanna set i'll let em go. Good supercorsa's and mint OE wheels, painted and never used so not a mark on em £300

Just found this post from a while back. a rvf 400 17 " wheel would fit straight on but would still require ride height adjustment? Just trying to get an idea of whats required to fit one for track days!!CMSMJ1 wrote:What will fit, without any money or modification is

Re: Nc30 rear wheel help!
You can bolt it straight on and leave it as is, The only problem with this is the ride-height will be adversley altered unless you also fit the RVF dogbone for the shock.tillett22 wrote:Just found this post from a while back. a rvf 400 17 " wheel would fit straight on but would still require ride height adjustment? If you fit both then it will be ok.
