Looking at swapping to the newer adjustable forks on my bike, the originals have got better condition bottoms so was seeing if it was possible to swap them about?
Looking at the exploded pictures of the two types they look the same but just wandering if someone had already done it?
Cheers
Chris

I beleive the lowers are the same if you're on about the bottom of the fork legs i.e. the bit the spindle goes through. It's the stanchions that are different.

Do you know if the stanchions are a larger diameter or is it just the internals of them?
Yes mean the fork legs and use the rest of the later spec forks with the original earlier fork legs

Not sure what the difference is but they have different pattern numbers from Honda.

Stantions are different, holes in different parts etc.
The lower legs are the same but if you want to transplant you will need to swap the stnation / internals and caps (im reubilding both types at the moment)

I have found out the difference with regards the stanchions is the distance the holes are away from where the bushes fit. The later type are 40ish mm away from the centre of the bush and on the early type they are a lot closer.
