Hey all,
Today I found a crack in my exhaust pipe. The story is at http://lutorm.wordpress.com/2012/09/11/ ... ust-crack/, but the issue is that the exhaust canister has been rubbing against the brake caliper and I'm wondering if anyone can tell me whether my caliper is higher than stock or if it's my exhaust that's bent inwards. Pictures are at the link.
Thanks for any hints anyone can give me,
/Patrik

Re: NC23 Exhaust crack
Think the crash bent the pipe and weakend it causing the crack and then let the rot set in. Probably time to get a stainless system only £160 new or get second hand on ebay

Not in California they aren't. Shipping from any place that actually has exhaust systems appears to roughly double the cost... If anyone knows of a source of exhaust systems on this continent, please let me know.dunkenb wrote:time to get a stainless system only £160 new

Re: NC23 Exhaust crack
Delkevic do an exhaust for the 23, and they have a dealer in the states. Might be worth an ask! No clue on quality just an idea.
That caliper may well be best changed out. The head on the sliding pin is smashed off, as well as the obvious damage. On the up side you won't have the usual JDM parts sourcing issues, that cailper is use on so many Hondas it's crazy.
While you're about the area, check for wear / damage to the caliper carrier. A hit hard enough to snap the head off a steel bolt might have hurt the carrier.
