BMW S1000RR shock

LOL that's my garage!! My friend and I are both running the BMW shocks with TYGA bodywork. The shock needs 5 minutes of filing to fit the top and the left side batt lug to clear the adj knob. A stiffer spring is recommended but don't go to drastic or you you will lose the adjustability of the shock. It has separate 10 way high speed and low speed compression dampening and 10 way rebound. My friend has had his out on a track and works extremely well.

On an nc30 with a standard subframe would yiou have to cut that large black plastic fender like when fitting a cbr shock?

They are 315mm long vs 305mm for the standard nc30 shock. That means that it will raise the back around 37mm right? How is that measured, at the seat?

Sounds like quite a hike. Dont think i'd want to raise the rear of my bike more than about 15-20mm. Maybe Rick O can sart selling a linkage the lowers the tail once this shock has been fitted!

How much do these bmw shocks weigh? Standard nc30 is about 2.8kg.
I think I read somewhere that the 2012 s1000rr has a 305mm shock absorber. I wouldn't be worried about raising a vfr by 37 or even 50mm since you can always fit a 17'' wheel to compensate and on an rvf I think you can change the dogbones to a vfr part. Can you combine the vfr dogbones with the triangular linkage part of the rvf?
