Hi there guys,
Yesterday when I first tried to start my NC29 after my rebuild I found out that my fuel pump is not running anylonger. I tested it with the pump directly connected to my battery and it does not make anything.
So I quess I need a new fuel pump, found two on the british sid of ...bay on new from Tourmax for about 80 pounds and one used for 30 pounds.
Does anybody could recommend the Tourmax one as it is an direct replacement item or would you go for the cheaper oem one which is used?
Best regards,
Crazy_German

Just get the oem one.
It's what I'd do.

Before you buy a used pump I'd check the contacts on your original one. The pump might actually be ok, it might be that the contacts have burnt out. That is what was wrong with mine.
This is what I'm talking about -

You just have to solder on one wire and that's it. There are some on ebay too, just search 'CBR fuel pump repair'. The fuel pump is very common and is fitted to loads of different bikes including Kawasakis and is made by Mitsubishi if I remember correctly.
Good luck!

Cheers!
That's a dilemma I was faced with - buy a used pump where the contacts might not last, as they're worn already or buy some new contacts and hope that's what the problem was. Mind you, it was pretty obvious on mine. They seem to weld to each other!
