Light switch

Post by Tomzed » Fri Jun 15, 2012 4:16 pm

Just realised I ordered an nc35 light switch instead of an nc30 is there any reason this won't work on an nc30 I see the difference is there's no switch to turn the lights on

Plugs may be different, no doubt some extra relay to control auto-lights on with igntion.

Can't see it being plug and play.

My Jap spec ZXR400 had auto-lights, the UK version had a switch, you couldn't retro-fit the Jap (auto lights) switch to the UK bike without extra bits.

Might be wrong on the NC30/35 but if you can get the proper one i'd do that.

the left hand switchgear has all the functions. lights, horn, indicators and flash.. right hand switchgear has kill switch..
has your left hand one just stopped working??
if so you might want to check the headlight bulbs before you replace the switchgear, cos if your running 60/55 watt bulbs on an imported bike without the relay mod. the same thing will happen again.
i have a rough left hand switchgear, i dont even know if it works (no reason why it shouldn't though)
you can have it if you need it...

No mate it's a bike I'm building I just bought the switch gear because it was in good condition. And realised it was nc35 stuff when it got here

Not plug and play and a lot of work to rewire.
