Hi All,
First post, so yay! Currently riding a 400 RRR NC29. Since I have had it, had a number of small issues. Recently i've put some time, effort and money into the bike, so far I have:
a) New Tyres and brakes
b) New Battery
c) Bike stripped back, Carbs checked, oil and air filters changed
d) water pump checked, thermostat tested (the who haynes boiling water thing)
e) hoses checked, tightened, etc.
It's currently running at a performance level pretty well, not overheating, etc. I'm left with one, last, strange problem. I'm not mechanical, so i'll do my best to articulate the events for you...
Basically I usually use the bike for short city rides, 10 miles a day, always without incident, very reliable in that manner. If I take it out on a long ride, and get the engine properly warmed up (as my daily commute barely moves the temp gauge), then the next morning it's a pig to start. Takes a good number of attempts.
After a few days it slips back into normal starting, right up until you take it for a long ride again.
Anyone have any idea's why it could be doing this?
Any help, greatly appreciated.
Ich.

Re: CBR 400 RRR NC29 - any thoughts?
Sorry I cant remember what it was but in most posts I always try to leave info on what conclusions I find, not in this instance it seems. It wasnt too bad though, I did check my fuel pump and it was fine, cleaned my carbs and reset the pilot screws, I also changed my battery/rectifier at that time, so take your pick..
Just had a thought, I also had a possible air leak on one of the inlet rubbers, maybe check those.
