nc23 coil problem

nc23 coil problem

hi,

im bit of a beginner to building a race bike sorry if it sounds silly or simple.

heres the problem , i fitted the race ignition from gf, it will run but on 2 cylinders 1/4 but no spark on 2/3 ive put the multimeter on and found 12v getting to the coils n thats as far as ive got so i dont really no what to do any ideas please??

It could be the actual coil but first check the HT wires are in the coils and caps nice and tight.
Switch the coil from 1/4 over and see if the problem switches over, if so you need to start working your way back toward the cdi.

As said in previous thread you made mate, coil #2 is wrong, firing order of coils is 1-4-3-2, the way you say you have your coils is 1-4-2-3 which is wrong so its going to run rough and not fire properly lol.
The reason for it not running on 2 and 3 is because the leads are wrong way round, swap them so coil #2 is in 3-2.
Trust me pal i have built enough of these bikes to know lol :D.

Change the second coil and report back to me, probably to say thanks :) lol

just to let you all know that i re-wired my bike and had voltage everywhere correct,
so i checked the pickup manually i had from graeme france and one of the pickup is not working :cry: = problem solved :grin: thankyou all for your help

and the coils are 1-4-3-2 or 1-4-2-3

its only worked and ran on 2 cylinders, we did work on the loom and now the loom is sorted and went through dyna2000 troubleshoot ..

yeah ok ill ring wed.. :smile:
