exhaust/manufold brackets

Post by btripp93 » Mon Jan 09, 2012 10:34 pm

Hi Everyone
I have another question
Under my bike I have two of the exhaust manifolds and they are held together with some kind of twin bracket(maybe an exhaust bracket) I was wondering if anyone new where I could get another one from, will put a picture up tomorrow if it will help

Many Thanks Ben

i believe your on about the clamps that clamp the front headers to the rear manifold which are made out of mild steel and rust like fuck on the collars,

if you measure the diameter of the pipes (i dont know what they are due to having an aftermarket exhaust on my bike) and then do a search for MIKALOR clamps on ebay usually about £3+ for stainless steel clamps with a 10mm hex head bolt like clamp which are pretty good IMO

I bought the same clamps a while ago, as i got exhaust blowing inbetween front and rear pipes joint. You bought the right item, I would advise you to use VHT paint on those just to prolong the life ( i know its stainless steel, but when tempered by heat, might rust as well - low grade stainless steel)
I am planning to fit them this weekend ;)
