Genuine head gaskets i feel are the main expense, but for everything else i will just buy an aftermarket gasket set. There is prob no real difference between genuine and aftermarket head gaskets but would be annoyed if a pattern one failed due to me being tight git!

Yer couldn't agree more. I think i got all mine from David silver to save on postage, but if you can get pattern ones (apart from head gasket) why not. I think Rick O does pattern ones, and if you are getting the valve stem seals get it all posted at the same time.
