left handle bar bent

Post by xivlia » Tue Dec 27, 2011 3:51 am

hello. as some of you may know, ive dropped my bike going at 5mph... and my left handle bar bent inwards while scrapping across the ground...i was wondering what would be the best way to straightening that out? the handle bars are not the original ones. its the S.E.S ally ones. so they might be harder to straighten :(

why not just buy a replacement bar instead of trying to toy with straightening it? hell, bars are the cheapest part of aftermarket clip ons bar the mounting bolts of course.

probably cost you about £10 for a replacement and saves you time and effort.

but these SES bars are very expensive. it would be a shame to throw it away.

compared to say Sansei or Speedymoto, SES bars are pretty cheap

the clip on kit is expensive. like i said, if you were to factor out how much they charge for bars that means that the clamps are worth just over £45 each in the kit.

It'll 95% snap if you try and straighten it, replace it.
