Has anyone any idea why someone would remove the choke cable?
I recently bought one and have been giving it a once over and noticed the choke was missing.
I have ordered a pattern part from wemoto and also wondered if there is anything in particular I should be considering before fitting it!
Cheers.
New user by the way and very novice mechanically but do have access to help locally should I not manage but want to sort this myself!

Re: Nc29 choke
Is everything missing from the choke, i.e the holder as well thats bolted onto the top yoke?
Do you know any of the history of the bike? as in did the last owner use it for a track bike only as i cannot think of any other reason to remove it unless anyone else off here can.

Re: Nc29 choke
The holder is still there. Tbh that's what started me thinking, I was wondering what it is!
The bike was a road bike I think of a youngish lad who used it to commute and according to his mother he was a trainee bike mechanic!
It was not complete though without complete fairing and some shoddy fixes which is why I am giving it an overhaul before riding it!
Just put on new brake lines and freed up the calipers for example.
Oil and plugs next.

Re: Nc29 choke
Might have been done in Japan before the guy got it, in SA apparently it's a common removal as it's so much hotter all year i think a used a choke a handful of times because i commuted to a job very early before the day heated up....just a thought though for anyone else who reads this thread like me
