If the noise is more like a very fast clicking it sounds like a faulty starter motor relay and/or a flat battery.

And how about you acknowledge some of the suggestions other members are making? 4 people have said the vacuum hose and you haven't even responded to them, instead, you check other problems.

If it randomly stopped, I would be inclined to think a fueling issue. So check the vacuum hose.

If you tried to restart the bike and it would turn over but not start, then it's a fueling issue, obviously the battery is working fine. If there is a buzz sound when you press the starter, it will be a flat battery. If it's clicking it will be the starter like someone already suggested, but the starter won't be the cause of your bike randomly cutting out.

Check the fueling like everyone has suggested.

the battery was fine but it would keep charge so i guessed that what it was but also the garage i took it too also thought that was the proplem

Thanks just i'm haveing the same problem.
But I took the reg of & unpluged it & one of the yellow wires in the plug was looked like it was all burnt & the same on the pin on the reg were it plugs in.
Hope this makes sense.
Any ideas?

Dud rect/reg will cause over or under charging of the battery, highly unlikely to cause random engine cut out. If the battery was fine then the charging system including the rect/reg should have been ok. Again how do you know it was the rect/reg.

The battery I tested and was fine but it wasn't being recharghged when in the bike so it is obvious that it was the regulater that had stop working as the battery was not regarching itself

With a dud rect/reg the battery had to be flat at some point, which was not mentioned in your list of symptoms. I would keep an eye on the battery voltage just to be sure.
