Hi all need some help.
Bought a a nc35 a while back, and it has always had a misfire between 5-6000 rpm but will go be back to full power from 7000 upwards, but seems to a have a few little flatspots past 10k. I have to slowly feed the throttle on to get it past the 5-6k misfire, any more than half throttle and it just misfires, splutters and pops.
I don't think its in "limp home mode" as the speedo is connected and iv'e but a 12v feed to the orange/blue wire on the cdi and it has made no difference.
so far iv'e changed;- oil + filter, Air filter(high flow), plugs, coils, ht leads, reg/rec and a new battery.
The air filter made it a little better but it still wont pull passed 5-6k in high gears.
I dont know what else to do, can anyone help?
cheers ben.

nc35 5k rpm misfire!
Set your carbs up and or Balance them.
From memory the bike will have an environmental dip on the map.

There is no limp home mode. The 5000 rpm limit is simply the no speedo sensor, 85mph speed limit mode. But to the main question, as suggested by hannakournikova it sounds like a carb/jetting issue.

It's running lean because of your 'high flow' air filter. Common problem.Tires&Tarmac wrote:so far iv'e changed;- oil + filter, Air filter(high flow), plugs, coils, ht leads, reg/rec and a new battery.
Change it to a genuine honda air filter and go from there.
