Perhaps it would IF the other way is a limiting factor.
I couldn't get them to drop any slower trying them either way so in theory they should both raise as the same rate as the air was being expelled equally both ways (I think that makes sense!)

Yes, bet I definately noticed it being easier to blow through than when the hole was blocked. I suppose it depends on the difference in air pressure & air flow through the hole & stuff - both of which I have no idea about!Neosophist wrote:Perhaps it would IF the other way is a limiting factor.

Like you say, if Honda don't mention it, it can't matter


I'm making a mental note to install them all the same if reassembling in future tho. Difference or no difference

heh, it's interesting.
As a quick test.. if you put them different ways in the front two carbs and re-assemble.
push the slides to the top and let them return.
providing the slides are both clean they'll come down at the same rate

As an aside, and in conjunction with my other postings (Dyno Dissappointment...), I have just had my second run out on the bike since fitting the (Keyster) 115 mains and setting all of the needle retainers the same (lower cutout above the hole).
I think it's fair to say, the bike is running GRRRREEEEEAAAAAT

Now, how much is to the mains & how much to the retainers (if anything) gawd only knows!
