Urgent, help help help!!!

Post by graham72 » Wed Jul 27, 2011 12:59 pm

Hi guys, ok I took my front end apart on my bike a few weeks ago to get wheels powdercoated, change forks etc etc, anyhoo Ive been piecing it back together and I've come a cropper.
I have this ally washer from front spindle and no idea where on the spindle it belongs!!
Can anyone help locate where it goes??

I thought it went behind the spindle bolt, but it doesn't look like it does, it's not a flat washer, almost like a spacer, help!!!

doesn't belong anywhere mate... you have 2 spacers, a spindle and a bolt.. in the wheel you have a long spacer between the bearings..

I'm completely confused, it must of been on there somewhere as I had the spindle assembly in the centre console of my car the whole time it was off the bike and that spacer was with it, how very odd! Can't see any mention of it in the Haynes manual, unless previous owner had put it on by mistake!!

im 100% sure it's nothing to do with the front as well.. i only put all my front wheel back together yesterday and that washer definitly weren't part of the reassembly process.
