LED RELAY HELP!

Post by DrunkenMistake » Fri Jun 24, 2011 12:01 pm

HELP
hey guys,
I have LED indicators and I have the front ones fitted, as my Stock one blew a bulb and I already had the LED's sitting about,
So I brought a shitty Ebay 3 pin relay and gave it a shot, it worked sweet when the bike wasnt running,
Started the bike up they flashed hard out for a second then stopped completely, So I figured fuck it ill buy a decent relay etc etc, anyways I got sold a 2 pin relay and the joker told me "this will do the trick you dont need that 3 pin bullshit blah blah" so I took it home, never got round to installing it as I had whipped the old relay back in and left it at that, anyway Im a bit sick of my hypo flashing indicators so I tried installing this 2 pin relay and no matter which was or whatever set up I installed it, (might be possible I done the same one more than once, thus why im posting this) it popped a fuse. Can someone PLEASE Help me out here, pictures or walkthrough or something would be FAN-TAS-TIC.

you can't use a 2-pin relay on the NC no matter which way you try...a 2-pin works with just + and bulb. the NC wiring obviously doesn't follow that concept (+, - and bulb)

this is how it works (i think):
