nc 30 reg /rec
i have a nc 30 with a fried reg rec wiring connector has been removed last time this happened my question is this i have a spare reg rec off an nsr 125 and it states in the manual that the current output is 2.5 amps at five thousand rpm wheras the vfr manual says the standard reg rec is 0 to 6 amps will 2.5 amps be enough to keep the battery charged as the 125 reg rec is hewn from a big chunk of ally with loads of cooling fins

Re: nc 30 reg /rec
its should be ok, all the reg/rec is doing is regulating the voltage/current flow, and rectifiying 50v to 12v and changing AC (Alternating Current) to DC (Direct Current) whilst charging the battery, the bike draws its power from the battery whilst the charging system Charges/Tops the battery up.
