NC29 fork mods

Post by Drunkn Munky » Thu Apr 28, 2011 9:59 pm

Right i have some NC30 fork bottoms with most of the internals and a complete set of MC18 NSR forks for which the stanchons are the same length as the NC29. I know i can fit the NSR stanchons to the NC30 bottoms but will all the NC30 internals work and can i fit some of them swanky RO NC30 fork tops to the NSR stanchons?

I would start with measuring the internal lengths etc. then you will have a better idea if they will fit in. If they are short you could always machine up some spacers etc.

If in doubt give your local suspension mob a call... And while your at it might as well put in some gold valves.

I had a set from Graeme a few years ago... he said they were a total bitsa, CBR lowers on VFR stanchions and over long springs. built up they were a bit shorter than stock but once on the handling of the bike was superb!

The VFR bottoms are a diect fit onto the Maxtons you have just bought mate.

Do it when you change the oil.
