Replacing the rear disc NC30

Post by IanP19 » Sat May 21, 2011 10:42 am

Hi,

I heard is possible on the NC30 to remove the rear disc without taking the rear hub off. I've had a look at can't work it out. Can some advise if this is possible and how I go about doing it.
(Its a nightmare trying to find a 46mm 1/2 drive on a saturday!)

Thanks

No, it's not possible. You need to take the rear hub off. If I remember right, I had to get a 1-13/16" x 3/4" socket to take it off. Here in the States you can't find 46mm sockets in any store. You have to order them online.

Best thing to do is buy a complete set off ebay. Then you'll have all the large sockets you need.

36mm for rear wheel, 46mm Hub nut and 41mm for top Yoke.

this is set I bought.
