My dipped beam isn't working but main beam is still working.
Would I be right in thinking there is only 1 relay on the 35 for headlights? If so would the relay stop working for the dipped beam but still work on main beam or would the problem be elsewhere?

Did you pull the bulb and verify the low beam filament in the bulb is still good? It's uncommon for both the hi and low beams of the same bulb to go out at the same time.thedonsRVF wrote:My dipped beam isn't working but main beam is still working.

Already checked the bulbs & they are fine.
Anyone know if there is an equivalent relay by Bosch or something?

I've just tested the relay & seems to be working, Should I take the left hand switch gear off & clean the connections?thedonsRVF wrote:Already checked the bulbs & they are fine.

Re: NC35 Dipped Beam
Does the rvf use a low beam relay?? The Jap nc30 uses only a high beam relay.
Are they standard Jap spec globes in there?? Many people fit higher wattage UK globes which can fry the switchgear if there's no low beam relay. Check the globe rating and open up the switchgear and take a look.

Re: NC35 Dipped Beam
RVF only has a high beam relay as far as I can see.
It's definitely the switch gear that's the problem although it's not burnt out, took it off last night & got it working but the low/high beam switch is loose so I've cut a 0.5mm shim & slid it on top of the switch to keep the connection, this is just a temporary fix.
It's not Jap spec bulbs either, LLB472 which is 60/55w so I'll get the correct bulbs, are they 60/35w? This will be easier for me than fitting an additional relay for low beam.
