I have some rubber pads glued to the frame on my race bike. I use some split fuel line as beading around the front sides of the tank on my roadbike. :oops:

You do need the rubber that sits under the front tab of the tank though for it to be mounted tightly.

Hi, i used a bit of rubber hose pipe for the front mount, have the standard back rubber mount. Doesnt wobble at all!

Good thread! I just realized I have been missing the front rubber since I bought the bike! Just assumed that was how it is supposed to be.
