Curbed my exhaust!

Post by Vfr400/tbird » Wed May 11, 2011 9:41 pm

Hi,
I feel like a massive idiot I was going for a bite to eat at mcdonalds earlier but there was a long que of cars to get in so thought I know I'll ride over the pavment slowley to avoid them when I heard a bang!
My two front down pipes had slammed the curb and now are kinked and one of the bolts off the header bracket is gone oh and it's blowing!
Not good realy and I only wanted a big mac!

Any way my question is, what's the cheapest fix, is it possible to dekink the pipes or will I need replacments?

It's a nc21 so there doesn't appear to be a lot available on eBay!

Would the nc24/30/35 front down pipes fit?

Thanks for the offer but a mates said he'd have a look tomoz it may be possible to take them off cut em open knock the kink out and re weld them failing that then I know a company in the neitherlands who sell them at a serous price but we'll see!

Do you know what needs replacing when I put them back on or replace them I presume exhaust manifold gaskets but is there a special one in the collector as well?
