Re: VFR400 WP Rear shock fitting
I have the same shock. You've fitted it correctly. You would be a prize plum if you put an OEM one back on in favour of the WP shock that you've already fitted. However, someone on here would be glad of the shock if you did lose your marbles and decide to sell it.

Too spensiff!!!

Dont suppose you could post some pics??? please.
(which was way correct, 1st or 2nd???)
Have ordered another OEM shock now,..............depends whether the WP one sells now.

Yes as martin says the 2nd way you had it was right, thats how i had mine fitted. Really cant see why your replacing it with a standard shock tho.

Re: VFR400 WP Rear shock fitting
Are you selling the bike too?
The amout it sells for unless your really luck won't be enough to buy a shock as good as that.
A sorted rear is one of the best things you can do to the NC30, it will also increase the sale value of the NC30 if you decide to sell it.
Having said that i'm watching the shock on ebay...

As i could just buy a dog of a VFR for peanuts.
Well,my old VFR i never had any issues with rear end/shock. And that was a OEM shock. As i said,..........im never gonna do track days on this one. Someone out there would find this alot more use.
And as for watching it on ebay, it has 71 watchers!!!!! lol

Re: VFR400 WP Rear shock fitting
I'd say about 2500gbp to a private collector.
And the standard shock is ok, the WP one is miles better.. something you don't know your missing until you fit it if your happy with the standard setup.
I thought the stock ZXR shock was 100x better than on my VFR and was quite content with it until I tried a Nitron shock, bike feels so much better!
Anyhow.. since its on flea-bay... good luck with the auction :)
