isn't the port there? Just behind the bracket that comes out forwards to support the lower rad.

also it looks as if the 'new' engine has been raced at somepoint due to the lockwired oil filter, although doen't always mean that) plus racers tend to look after their bikes anyway with regular oil changes etc so it shouldn't be anything to worry about.

yh the ports there but they both look blank as if no drillings follow into it. Yeh its been tracked, he told me it had. Only done 3 races on it though. Its a twenty year old bike. Im sure they've all been throttled at some point lol.

I have a 24 pump and want to fit it to my engine...but not sure how the lines run.. ;)

Cheers Neo..but forgive my ignorance.where is the line that feeds the cases? Is it 12 and 13?

Looking at the diagram on cmsnl.com, it looks like it's possible to add the oil/air cooler by removing the sump and making the appropriate drillings. Is this true, or is it an engine out job?

you know thats a good point there... On the 24 you have to remove the engine to get the sump off anyway as the collectorbox sits under it and you cant remove the rear headers easy.. on the 30 though if you whipped the exhuast off I bet you could probably get to everything you need without having to get the block out.

Yes Mark, 12 and 13 are the lines. They run from the pump to the front ports that are not used on the 30 engine, if you drill them out and attach those lines to a 24 pump you can fit the oil cooler.

Id even use the NC24 oil cooler, its smaller than the giant ZXR one so easier to mount, just get your own lines made up for it or even mod the 24 ones (although most of the length is steel so wont mod easy) to fit it wherever, under the nose-cone is proably good ;)

Since there all NC13 engines you could probably use the 24 cases with the 30 gear on them.

i was tempted to try and fit the 24 cylinder heads to the 35 engine I have, the locknut adjusters need adjusting more often than shims but they dont cost anything to do, plus the heads use 10mm plugs which are cheaper and more durable. It will have to be investigated when I get time

Havent decided what to do with that one yet...
