out of curiosity.. what size pilot jets were in there?
Yes, air screw is out for lean on rvf carbs. ;)

I'd be surprised if the pilot jets are different to the standard 35's, the hrc manual doesn't recommend anything biger than standard (unlike the vfr hrc kit). Worth checking though.
Yep.. I think it was the 24 that had the 40 pilots.. although i've seen some weird setup bikes in the past and for the sake of checking their 35's it'll save a lot of baffling when trying to get it running properly :)

Has 35's in it. Changed everything today, have 4 sets of HRC needles, and a bunch of jets. But when blipping the throttle it hangs up for a sec before coming back down. Idle adjustment is at 1 5/8ths and stock needles wth a washer under.

That's usually associated with the pilot screw setting (but not always).

Still attempting to tune this thing. Still don't have it right. Running 152/148 jets with no filter material in the airbox and screws 1 5/8th turns out. Bike lags when not on positive throttle then picks right back up when applied. Some one advised maybe to go to 40 or 38 pilots but I feel I shouldn't have to with running the stock type jetting. As I have tried that before and it didn't work either with 120/115's in it.

Any ideas?

I don't know if you'll be able to tune that out, the hrc setup was intended for the track where those symptoms won't have much of an effect.

My nc30 hrc carbs do it too (they run #40 pilot jets).

Hmmmmmm Ok what would you suggest. I'd like to run a stock set up but I need to get another Air Filter as I've cut that. But I do still have the stock springs, and jets and even velocity stacks. Right now I think I've maybe figured out the on/off throttle lagging part. I went riding today and it was windy and whenever the wind would gust up strong the bike would lag. Not because of the wind resistance but too much airflow.

I took the filter completely out to find that out. I did.

On a side note. I put the Tyga headlight and tail light on it and for the second time I completely fried the Rectifier. I'm not sure as to why though. Gonna get a R6 one and see if that will work.

Oh and I might wanna add that it has a HRC ecu also.

Going to a standard(ish) setup might be a better idea. Getting hold of an air filter should be simple, plenty of sellers here will send overseas, and david silver spares usually has good air mail service.

Be careful just replacing your reg/rec with another one. The fried one is a symptom of the charging system being faulty, not the cause. The usual voltage and generator checks should show up any issues.

There's a good guide with specs in the document library:

Took the rectifier off my MC22 and checked voltage across it as per the instructions and at 5500, voltage was 14.2. Never had this problem before addin the Tyga headlights. Any other ideas?
