Re: Generator Fly Wheel Rotor
You can see the crank inside the genny cover...so it splashes a bit of oil about. Normal...

Re: Generator Fly Wheel Rotor
If you look in the Haynes Manual, which you should have!
it says that a rotor holding tool can be easily made from two strips of steel bolted together in the middle, and with a bolt through each end which locates into the two holes on the rotor face. I think you can also just put the bike in gear and hold the rear brake down to stop the rotor moving if you dont have the tool, according to the Haynes bible!!
I might make one of these when i do the GSXR conversion with a 2006 1000 flywheel and stator and the new design cover i got from radprecision on ebay (they produce them for Rick Oliver)
I saw a similar design with a VFR logo on it a while ago on ebay which someone on here has. I wasnt keen on the adapter plate that bolts through the stock cover on the old design and i hoped the original one piece cover design would be made again and i was chuffed to see my dreams come true!!!
Heres the cover and its very nice in the flesh!!
