Post by Snap » Sat Dec 12, 2009 6:52 pm

Are the rubber surronds around the headlight necessary or not? Can i go without or do i have to have them?

depends if you want to use it at night, mine without them shines quite a lot round the cockpit without them which I find pretty distracting

Or cut up some push bike inner tubes. You don't see them in the end, so it doesn't matter too much.

I got on okay without them for a good while. Can be picked up from David Silver Spares if you stick in the part code. Grab the microfiche pdf and have a look ;)

i made mine from grey foam pipe insulation stuff cut into strips and glued. i glued it direct to the lights (used exterior mastic so it can be easily removed from glass) and shaped it so the fairing slips over snugly. its easy to trim when in place and i aint had any probs.
