NC30 QA Throttle Question?

Post by porndoguk » Sun Feb 06, 2011 11:56 pm

aimed at people that have one fitted,

i found that with the complete difference in turn ratio etc ive found myself stalling the bike feel like a right LOSER! and also on 2 occasions when i ripped it back from 1 into 2nd gear the bike would sorta stall/choke, i guess from over fueling as the ratio is massivly different to the old one.

has anyone else experianced this?

i know its an education thing im starting to get the hang of it and its much better but its training the brain to learn all over again.

I installed a QA throttle on my racebike and absolutely love it. With the normal throttle I was finding that sometimesI wasn't even at full throttle because of the amount it has to be twisted. Definitely didn't have that problem with the QA throttle

I know what you're having to deal with, it's hard to get the right amount of revs before easing out the clutch without looking like a knob, but on the race track it doesn't really matter. It'll just take a bit of time to get used to it, then you'll love it (kinda feels like it has more horsepower since you can wrap the throttle to the stops much quicker! :P )

Never had issues with mine, id say theres something a miss if its doing when your ripping through from 1st to 2nd. If you were cracking the throttle back a low revs then id expect it but not when your flat out.

ive just called kev at projex to get the bike dynoed, and ill see whats a miss as such, i have been using stale fuel tho that was last put in, in november, and the bikes been stood since then, and not started so maybe a bit of crap lurking inside the carbs?

when i get back from wales im gonna strip and ultrasonic the carbs before i get it dynoed.
