Nc30 chain & sprocket fitment

Post by ChowderV4 » Tue Jan 18, 2011 6:02 pm

I've just fitted a chain and sprocket today and have tightened the adjuster up as much as possible but there is still an extreme amount of slack.
its that Chain and Sprocket set.
any ideas?

Chain 525 -108 links
15 tooth front
40 tooth rear
Thats what the new kit is and i was running the same before i changed it.
maybe it does have too many links, whats standard gearing and link count?

15/40 104 links.

Some suppliers give a standard length to cover various models.
I leave the adjuster in the existing position, then fit the chain to check length. [ in case I miscount number of links and remove too many :-( ]

Dave.
