Running on 2 or 3 cylinders

g'day guys, water blasted my bike and took it for a ride to find it running on 2 or 3 cylinders but can't be sure.

If i take out the rear cylinder coils there doesn't seem to be much difference at all. Maybe when pulling out cylinder 3 there is an ever so slight drop in rpms. Both coils are warm (can't get to front cylinders)

Bike is rideable but low power, would it even run on 2 cylinders?

Left it to dry for a couple of hours or so with rear coils disconnected then took it out for ride again. Found it was intermittently coming back and then going again.

Obviously there is water somewhere but I'm not sure what to do about it.

My guess would be water in the spark plug recesses. They have drain holes but these can sometimes get blocked.

Bikes and high water pressure don't mix!

If i remove the leads and let it stand overnight it'll probably evaporate I guess. If it's the front ones then that's a hassle.. what's the easiest way to get at the fronts?

You can unbolt the top rad and move it slightly to get the front plug caps off I think. Use compressed air to blow most of the water out.

Be careful spraying the bike - the nc30 cdi's aren't waterproof!

The cdi couldnt cause an intermittent problem like this could it? If it was water it would either be totally wasted or not at all surely?

...bike just died on way home. had to push it back. I'm hoping it's just fuel though since ive been running on reserve for so long, there is still a smidgen of fuel left in there though.
