) that those emulsion tubes (needle jet holders) are the same as mine, which should mean they are the standard RVF400 units!
The same goes to the Pilot Jets, standard 35's!
Looks like only the main jets were changed, possibly to suit an aftermarket zorst & maybe different air filter too!
P.s. My carbs are still not fitted, so if you need confirmation of what's on my carbs I can open them up and take a photo or two!
NOTE: Just checked the parts manual and it shows 2 different part numbers for the emulsion tubes - 16165-MR8-900 for cylinders 2&4 (front ones) and 16166-MR8-900 for cylinders 1&3 (rear ones)!
This must mean that they're actually different in some way!? Will have to get mine off again to confirm it!!!...
Yeah the parts are different. On the NC35 all the emulsion tubes have 3 pairs of holes but they are staggered differently front & rear. The two pairs of holes nearest the thread are in the same location all 'round, but the third pair of holes is closer to them on the rear carbs (with the shorter inlet bell mouths) and further away from them on the front pair of carbs (with the longer bell mouths). I confirmed this by actually buying one new emulsion tube and checking it against the parts manual.
For pictures look here:

btw the slow jets look correct but the mains don't look like any Keihin's I've seen.

I've seen those Kehin Jets before... i've got some 92's for my ZXR that are 'big'
(There 1.4mm taller than standard jets... )
Not sure if they are a kehin part or where they come from, seen them advertised on ebay before.
according to friend they flow about the same as the next size up.. so a 92 is actually more like a 94.

Well that's nice and clear JB!
Thanks for that; I shall make sure mine are the correct ones and are in their respective places!
Thanks also to code2006 for bringing this issue up; this is something a NOOB like me can/do easily miss & mess up!

Ok thanks to every one that has replied I guess it's as simple as changing the jets only as everything seems to be original and correct then :)

Well, better late...
So here's confirmation of my RVF emulsion tubes (Needle Jet Holders); they are the correct ones and were in the correct places!
Took some photos for future reference.
