A piece of rope and a strong crossbeam in the roof?Akey wrote:Does anyone know of a cheap way of jacking up the bike to achieve these ends without having to fork out the money for an abba frame?
Seriously, you can improvise pretty well to get any end of the bike off the floor.
I used a car jack under the pipes for years to do work on the front end and it was fine. Rear end requires a couple of jacks or stands under the footpegs.
We don't have abba stands in Oz (and postage would not be viable!), they look like a great bit of gear.
